Work At School
Program Summer Grounds and Landscape Maintenance Services
years old and up (potentially students at the school) are employed to perform
routine grounds and landscape maintenance services at school facilities.
Individuals would work in a crew environment with a ratio of one adult crew
leader to 6-8 crewmembers. This work could include but not be limited to:
mowing, flowerbed maintenance, aeration, irrigation repairs/maintenance tree and
shrub trimming, fertilization and sod replacement.
Pending scope of work and skill set of individuals, participants could
work up to full time. Duration of employment could be limited to summer months
or established as an after school program. Employing students to work in this
capacity will enable existing personnel to perform other essential functions
that require greater skill.
Students at or
within the school district and responsible adults in the immediate community.
Program could be operational within 7-10 days following completion of
associated with typical grounds maintenance equipment; use of personal
protective equipment; and experience working in a team environment.
